Documentation requirements for initial registration of equipment designed for water recreational activities

On August 15, 2019, the Decree No. 48/2019/ND-CP on management of equipment intended for water recreational activities will enter into force. Pursuant to this Decree, documentation requirements for initial registration of equipment intended for water recreational activities will comprise:

- Documents required to be submitted, including:

+ Application form for registration of equipment by using the form No. 09 appended to the Decree No. 48/2019/ND-CP dated June 5, 2019;

+ 02 color photos (size 10 x 15 cm) of the entire starboard side view of equipment in the floating state;

+ Original copy of registration fee receipt (if the equipment is subject to the registration fee payment requirement).

- Documents required to be presented, including original copy of:

+ Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection remaining valid with respect to the equipment subject to prescribed registration and inspection requirements;

+ Permit or customs declaration for import of the imported equipment;

+ Documents evidencing the ownership of the equipment; Sales contracts, new construction contracts or other equivalent documents;

+ Documents evidencing permission for operation and establishment of the office in Vietnam with respect to foreign organizations, or documents evidencing residency in Vietnam with respect to foreign individuals.

If the equipment owner is the owner of the workshop specialized in newly building, altering, repairing and restoring the licensed equipment, they will not be required to present documents evidencing ownership.
