Decreased workloads related to tests on licensing requirements for inspection of road vehicles

This is the new regulation enshrined in the Circular No. 18/2019/TT-BGTVT providing instructions on implementation of the Government’s Decree No. 139/2018/ND-CP on business in road vehicle inspection service.

Pursuant to this Circular, the matters mentioned below will be removed from tests on eligibility requirements and maintenance of these eligibility requirements for road vehicle inspection service.

- Office buildings, parking lots and internal roads;

- Communications and information storage, data transmission devices and other equipment;

- Legally-prescribed samples, charts and notifications, cameras used for taking photos of road vehicles entering into inspection areas; IP cameras used for surveillance and storage of photos; systems receiving inspection applications; static IP addresses.

Inspection and assessment documentation will be made into 02 sets, including one set deposited with the register agency, one set deposited with the Vietnam Register, and will be stored within the minimum duration of 5 years (compared to the 3-year duration prescribed in the existing regulation).

The Circular No. 18/2019/TT-BKHDT will take effect on July 5, 2019.
