The Circular makes certain changes in application procedures for the electricity license as follows:
- No later than 15 working days after the scheduled date of its official business (instead of 30 days as defined in existing regulations), an electricity provider must submit all required documents to apply for the electricity license.
- No later than 30 days before the electricity license expires, if an electricity provider awarded the electricity license wishes to continue its business, it must prepare and submit an application package as legally prescribed.
(Existing regulations require electricity providers to submit applications no later than 60 days before expiration of their electricity licenses).
In case of loss or damage, electricity providers must request competent authorities to reissue electricity licenses and give clear explanations.
The Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BCT will be repealed from the effective date of the Circular No. 36/2018/TT-BCT (December 6, 2018).
