This means that the minimum pay rate for all 4 regions in 2019 will increase approximately 5.3% on average compared to in 2018 as proposed by the National Wage Council.
The initiative for increase in the region-specific minimum pay rates for 2019 will be submitted to the Government for its approval and issuance of the new Decree on 2019’s region-specific minimum pay rates.
That new Decree will replace the Decree No. 141/2017/ND-CP prescribing the region-specific minimum pay rates for employees working under employment contracts (in effect from January 1, 2019).
