According to the Circular, bonus points for examinees from the following regions still remain unchanged:
- Region 1: 0,75 point,
- Region 2 in rural areas: 0,5 point,
- Region 2: 0,25 point,
- Region 3: No bonus point.
However, from 2023, examinees will be eligible for region-based preference policies as prescribed in the year in which they graduate from high schools (or intermediate schools) and the following year.
In addition, the bonus points for examinees scoring at least 22,5 points in total (on a scale from 1 to 10 and the maximum total score of 3 subjects is 30) are determined as the following formula:
Bonus points = [(30 - Total score)/7.5] x Bonus points specified in clauses 1 and 2 Article 7 of Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT.
/>
Thus, an examinee that scores at least 22,5 points for 3 subjects will receive less bonus points and no examinee will have an entrance exam score of more than 30.
Circular No. 08/2022/TT-BGDDT comes into force from July 22, 2022 and replaces Circular No. 09/2020/TT-BGDDT dated May 07, 2020 and Circular No. 16/2021/TT-BGDDT dated June 01, 2021.
