DECREE
TO
ESTABLISH THE PROVINCIAL TOWN OF NGHIA LO AND RE-DELINEATE THE ADMINISTRATIVE
BOUNDARY BETWEEN NGHIA LO PROVINCIAL TOWN AND VAN CHAN DISTRICT OF YEN BAI
PROVINCE
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on
Organization of the Government on the 30th of September 1992;
Considering the proposals of the President of the People's Committee of Yen Bai
province and the Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization
and Personnel,
DECREES:
Article 1.-
To establish in Yen Bai province the provincial town of Nghia Lo on the basis
of Nghia Lo district town which has an area of 331 hectares and a population of
1,647 from Nghia Phuc commune, an area of 181.05 hectares and a population of
2,566 from Nghia An commune, and an area of 116.5 hectares and a population of
1,592 from Nghia Loi commune (of Van Chan district).
Thus, the provincial town of
Nghia Lo has a land area of 878.5 hectares and a population of 15,925.
Geographically, the provincial
town of Nghia Lo borders Nghia Loi and Phu Nham communes on the East; Nghia Son
commune on the West; Nghia An commune on the South; and Nghia Son, Nghia Phuc
and Nghia Loi communes (of Van Chan district) on the North.

1. To establish Pu Trang ward
on the basis of Sectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, and hamlets Ban Long, Ban Que,
Ban Nong, Ban Ten, Ban Ngoa and Ban Moi.
Pu Trang ward has an area of
380.5 hectares and a population of 4,834. It borders Trung Tam ward on the
East; Nghia Son commune on the West; Nghia An commune on the South and Nghia
Phuc commune (of Van Chan district) on the North.
2. To establish Tan An ward
on the basis of Sectors 8, 14 and 15, and the hamlets of Ban Tong Pong, Ban
Tong Co and Ban Ao Sen.
Tan An ward has an area of 304
hectares and a population of 4,537. It borders Chau Thia ward and Nghia An
commune (of Van Chan district) on the East; Pu Trang ward on the West; Nghia An
commune (of Van Chan district) on the South; and Trung Tam ward on the North.
3. To establish Trung Tam ward
on the basis of Sectors 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, and hamlets Ban Le, Ban Cang Na
and Ban Pa Khet.
Trung Tam ward has an area of 97
hectares and a population of 4,623. It borders Nghia Loi commune (of Van Chan
district) on the East; Pu Trang ward and Nghia Loi commune on the West; Tan An
ward on the South; and Pu Trang ward and Nghia Loi commune on the North.
4. To establish Cau Thia ward
on the basis of Sectors 16 and 17, and hamlets Ban Chao Thuong and Ban Ve Duoi.
Cau Thia ward has an area of 97
hectares and a population of 1,931. It borders Phu Nham village (of Van Chan
district) on the East; Tan An ward on the West; Nghia An commune on the South;
and Nghia Loi commune on the North.

- Nghia An commune retains an
area of 1,237 hectares and a population of 2,432.
- Nghia Phuc commune retains an
area of 492 hectares and a population of 1,601.
- Nghia Loi commune retains an
area of 401.5 hectares and a population of 2,962.
Article 3.-
The President of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province and the
Minister-Chairman of the Government Commission on Organization and Personnel
are responsible for the implementation of this Decree.
