According to this document, from August 1, 2020, the electronic payment, and the exchange of data on, automobile and motor vehicle registration fees will take place nationwide via:
- Online payment channels already connected with General Department of Taxation, including: Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank, BIDV, VPBank, MBBank and TPBank;
- Government-administered National Public Service Portal.
In addition, provincial Departments of Taxation and Subdepartments of Taxation need to pay attention to the followings:
- Promoting propaganda and support for and implementation of payment of registration fees in various forms, such as posting instructional materials on websites, integrating information and instructions about such activity into conferences and training sessions organized by tax authorities.
- With regard to owners of automobiles or motor vehicles without tax identification numbers, leaderships of Subdepartments of Taxation must staff tax registration divisions in place to receive their registration fee declaration documents.
