The means of transport subject to energy labeling and minimum energy efficiency include:
- Motorbikes;
- Small cars with 9 seats or less (at present, only small cars with 7 seats or less are subject to labeling).
The course of energy labeling for the said means of transport (manufacture, assembling and importation of new vehicles) proceeds as follows:
- Voluntary energy labeling:
+ Motorbikes until December 31, 2019;
+ Small cars with 7 to 9 seats until December 31, 2017;
- Mandatory energy labeling:
+ Motorbikes as of January 01, 2020;
+ Small cars with 7 seats or less;
+ Small cars with 7 to 9 seats as of January 01, 2018.
Decision No. 04/2017/QD-TTg takes effect as of April 25, 2017.
